![]() So, what changed between this statement and now? Because these are your words They don't "magically" eat up all your memory. ![]() It took a lot for games to crash-out with a out-of-memory error. Which apparently you knew: “ (Even when i had an Actual Memory-leak on my system. Why? Because a memory leak doesn’t guarantee crashes. You can look at the patch notes since they already fixed some. I said memory mismanagement, not memory leaks.Īlso, you are wrong about what a memory leak would cause… the game actually did have memory leaks(probably still has some). IF the game had memory leaks everyone would crash out of the game after a few minutes play with an Out of Memory error, and most likely crash right out of Windows. Now you are talking about an entirely separate issue. The OS uses anywhere from 5 to ~10 GB, leaving the rest to the game. Minimum memory required by game is 16 GB. HOWEVER, have enough memory and you won’t notice it. Lemme guess? 4090? How clever of you knowing what issues i have or not playing this game.I know this is supposed to be sarcasm but this really is how it works… when the game mismanages memory, this is the case on every computer. Not noticing them or not suffering from it due to bruteforce isn’t the same as not having them. Even if your NASA friend borrowed you a PC, it might still fail to properly run on ultra because no amount of hardware can fix bad optimization.Автор сообщения: GingerbreadmanConsidering the game mismanages memory, yeah you do. ![]() Simplest way: just compare your GPU against "recommended" settings and if you're 1-2 generations of GPU away, tough luck - until optimization comes out (IF it ever comes), you need to ask NASA if they have a spare PC to run this thing on ultra. Just in case, VRAM ≠ RAM and it's not only about the size of it but also about frequency (and L1/L2 caching till some degree). It's a VRAM and/or wrong texture buffering config issue. If you stand still in the zone you'll notice the graphics gradually "improving", aka your GPU catching up. "I couldn't care less"-GPU scenario - you get potato graphics, like LOD objects not being replaced with the real ones or texture streaming taking such a long time that you can see them popping into the view on the otherwise brown/gray blob polygons. ![]() Having stuff on ultra setting doesn't mean your GPU will be able to handle those ultra settings. ![]()
